Thomas & Jaye ~ Two Australians’ Elopement in Paris ~ Paris Wedding Photographer

Thomas & Jaye buy a book for each other every month. This July they decided to buy it from Paris’s legendary Shakespeare and Company Bookshop. And to get married there right after that! So they took some close friends with them and flew half way across the globe, from their homeplace in Australia, to live out this dream.

Their day was authentic and full of heart. It began wih a bike ride in the rain to Boucheron, an old jewelry house in Place Vendome, to pick up their rings. As a symbol of their intimate connection Thomas & Jaye put a padlock on a bridge over Canal Saint-Martin, the same place where Amelie Poulain was skipping stones at the locks of the canal. They said their vows literally in the heart of Paris, in front of their favorite bookshop, Shakespeare and co. Little did George Whitman know when he opened this place half a century ago that people will fly from all over the world to be there, not only to share their love for art and literature, but also their love for each other.
